The "Advent Storm" of the North Coast

The headlines of a top newspaper in Germany called this storm the "Advent Storm".

On the 2nd of December the Pacific Northwest was slammed
by a huge storm, with sustained winds of 95 - 110 mile per
hour winds, for about 48 hours.
Top winds are said to have been clocked at 150 miles per hour.

The lights went out on Sunday and didn't return until a week later.
(For most)
My shop has been closed for the duration. Most all residence have lost all the food they once had in their fridges. Ice, water, and candles became hot commodities in the
few shops that could open their doors and operate by torchlight alone.

All roads in and out of the area where closed down due to fallen trees, sink holes,
and actual collapse. Mudslides, flooding, livestock killed, ... just a real mess.

I will be up and running, (hopefully) by next weekend Dec. 14th -16.
I wish all well, and sincerely hope that all will recover quickly and throughly.

    Linda,

I sent you an Xmas card but it came back as "undeliverable." I sent it to the 407 Broadway address. Was your store blown into oblivion by the storm and you no longer exist??!! ;-)

Hey Linda, It's Michelle from Sisters. You were sure in our thoughts and prayers during that storm. It's a scary thing to be cut off from the world by the forces of the earth ...then again, perhaps its no such a bad thing after all? ;o)

Blessings on you and yours this holiday season.

    Michelle From Sisters.
(PS - my daughters poem about Prince Charlie DID get into the national book. She was STOKED!!!!)

Let us know if you are ever over here in the high desert country.
    :o)
