Jimi (the Piper) McRae's CD's

I've rec'vd my first of two small packages containing Jimi's new tunes.

They will be available Thurs. of this week. Only got a couple dozen so
if you're keen to buy one, while they're in stock...best do it soon.

This album is a great crowd pleaser. Traditional tunes with a bit of a kick..
delivered in a way that only Jimi can. His skillful Piping is accompanied by a very skillful and equally "jammin' " drummer, Sam Okoo.

Cheers,
Linda

The Celtic Worry Rings-Spinny Rings

For those of you that have been waiting...the Celtic Spinning rings are on the way to me and should be in by Friday 27th of march.

If you are interested try to react quickly there is a limited supply at this time.

I'll be at the shop Thurs. - Sunday this week. 10am-3pm.

Note : I have been under the impression (from my publisher) that the books would be here by Tartan Day. Well...now I know that will not be the case.
They have decided (back in Edinburgh) that they will print in Glasgow (instead of Canada). This will delay the arrival of the books for release here.
I have been assured that they will forward me a few hundred copies (express) and ship the rest over slow-boat.
This smaller amount should be enough to satisfy those of you that have been waiting.

I have been in contact with my good friend Jimi(the Piper)McRae, back in Scotland.
He sent me a review copy of his new CD (which I have been playing in the shop), and the response as been a bit overwhelming....everyone wants to buy MY ONLY COPY!
So I've arranged to have some sent over and they should be here shortly.
I say shortly...because when relying on the Royal Mail system....there's really no way to predict how long it could take...anywhere from one week to 3 weeks.
If I remember to...I will post when they arrive...
this is a brilliant CD, ...so I think they'll move out of the shop very quickly.

All the Best,
Linda

A Call for the Wallace Letter to be Returned to Scotland

In the news in Scotland today a MSP of the Scottish Parliament, Christine Grahame has issued a call for the Wallace Safe Conduct Letter to be returned to Scotland.

Quite some time ago I placed a link to the on-line petition regarding this matter in the side bar of this site.

If you have not signed this petition, ...I would urge you to do it NOW and tell all your friends to as well. We have only gather approx. 700 signatures since I posted this a few years ago, (I cryin' shame that!), and now is the time to show your support.

So go to the side-bar link that says "Wallace Petition" and cast your vote to honour the man that did so much for Scotland and the Freedom of this country as well. (My book will explain more of that).

This year in Scotland is "Homecoming" and there is nothing more befitting than for this artefact to come Home to Scotland as well!

Cheers,
Linda

New Stock in the Shop

I just received the first order of "large size" sterling rings for those of you that have difficulty in finding them...nice Celtic designs as well.
Earrings and pendants came in with them. And will on the shelves sometime tomorrow.

I made connection with a potter in the Highlands of Scotland and have the first of this product in. Top notch quality and beautiful, Celtic Crosses, Celtic Knot-Tiles, Coasters and Candle holders.

Hopefully I will be receiving new ranges from Scotland and Ireland in a good flow over the next few weeks as we head into the season.

The Warriors and Wordsmiths of Freedom Book Launch Weekend

The book launch is still on for the weekend of 3rd, 4th & 5th of April, in celebration of America's National Tartan Day April 6th, at my shop in Seaside, Oregon.

This year it (Nat'l Tartan day) falls on a Monday. All Scot and Irish are urged to show your tartan (or plaid) on that day. If ya got 'em, ... wear 'em!!!!
So drag out your kilt, skirt, scarf, shawl, necktie, hair-ribbons, or tam, ..dust 'em off, air them out, ....then

Wear 'em Proud!

I have a Bagpipe player that will be hanging out at the shop, and playing off and on, during the book launch weekend (Sat. and Sun.)too.

Cheers to all that have visited the shop recently.
And to those I have not seen in awhile, ...
I trust all is well in your life, and I hope to see you soon.

Slainte,
Linda
